CALL FOR DISTRIBUTION OF PRODUCTS
1. Introduction
More than 5,000 stockholders founded Kegna Beverages Share Company, or KBSC for short, in April 2017. The company is constructing a massive, state-of-the-art brewery with an installed capacity of 3 million HL (expandable to 6 million HL) near Ginchi town, West Shewa Zone, Oromia National Regional State, as part of the first phase project. The company's goal is to engage in the production of high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic Products. During its second phase of expansion, the company intends to produce juices, carbonated water, and other portfolio items.
2. Scope of Work
The bidder's proposal should clearly state
- Product Procurement and Inventory Management
- Collecting Market and Sales Data Reporting
- Training and Workforce Management
- Expanding Distribution Network
- Distribution
- Compliance and Legal Responsibilities
- Using Distribution Software
3. Qualification Criteria
- Warehouse: Warehouses should be made of durable materials such as concrete and cement bricks to withstand heavy loads and frequent movement of pallets. The warehouse needs to maintain the quality and Food safety requirements
- Trucks: Secondary sales trucks to be used for direct delivery (Door to Door Delivery) to retailers, bars, restaurants, or other sales points within the distributor's designated area. These trucks must meet the following standards. Model 2020 above Midsize light duty trucks. Trucks should be roofed to protect KBSC products from direct sun light, Rain, and/or Dust and the roofing must be done as per KBSC standard.
- Workforce Requirements: To ensure efficient sales and distribution operations, all official KBSC distributors are required to demonstrate their capability to allocate the necessary workforce Clearly
- Strong Passion for Kegna's Brands Distributors should possess a genuine passion for and commitment to the success of Kegna's alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage brands - Previous Experience in Distributing Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG): To qualify as an official distributor for KBSC, candidates must have prior experience in distributing Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), which is critical to ensuring effective and efficient operations
- Knowledge of the local market
- Language Proficiency
- Distributors should have a strong command of the local language(s)
- Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity
- Distributors must have a deep understanding of the local culture and consumer behavior
4. Submission Requirement
- The application shall include but not be limited to:
- A copy of a valid and relevant business license, VAT registration, and TIN certificate. -Audited Financial statements (ie Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash flow, and Statement of change in equity) and tax clearance records for the last 3 years.
- Bank statements from the last 3 years.
- A company profile outlining the business's nature, history, service quality, and capacity. - A tax clearance certificate for the Ethiopian calendar year 2017.
- Documentation of ownership of trucks and/ or rental of warehouse facilities.
- A letter of motivation outlining the distribution area of interest.
- Interested and eligible applicants shall submit their expression of interest with clean copies of the documents physically at Kegna Head Quarter, Ellily Hotel 10th floor, November 27, 2024, before 4:00 pm
- Applications should be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with the company name and the purpose of the submission (eg. Expression of Interest for Distribution).
